5.1.1. CHARLES ALBERT (CHARLEY), born 27 May 1850; married Clara Peterson 3 Jul 1872; he left home 10 Dec
1903; died 21 Apr 1929 under the assumed name of Robert Churchill; his body was identified by Harland
Corrie (ref.
1.1.5.4.5.1.10.) and Wallace Beals (ref.1.1.5.4.5.6.3.) at which time he was returned to
Springfield where he was buried beside his wife Clara.
5.1.2. JOHN FRANKLIN, born 13 Apr 1852; departed this life 8 Jul 1853 age 1 year 2 months.
5.1.3. SARAH CATHERINE, born 22 Jul 1854; departed this life 24 Sep 1855 age 1 year 2 months.
5.1.4. JOHN BURRAGE (J.B.), born 19 Sep 1856 in Schuyler Co, IL; married in 1887 to his childhood sweetheart
Lillie Catherine (Kate) Ritchie who was born 1861 in Schuyler Co; J. B. was a telegrapher as a young man,
became a rancher near Bozeman MT; farmed near Corvallis, OR from 1911 until he retired in 1937; he became a
skilled photographer; he played the clarinet but he may not have been very good at it because his daughter
Eva recalled crying every time he played; Kate died 27 May 1927 : J. B. died 19 Jan 1950, he dropped dead
in the kitchen after having been outdoors wrapping the water pipes to keep them from freezing in the cold
January weather; children: (

3) Bernice, (
4) John Quincy, (
5) Nina,
(
6) Charles Kenneth.

5.1.4.1. MARY EVA (EVA), born 18 Nov 1888; lived in the family home in Corvallis, OR for nearly 75 years, also
worked in a bank and took care of her parents in their later years. Eva never married, she died of old age
22 Jan 1985.
