5.1.4.4. JOHN QUINCY (QUINCY), born 3 Dec 1894 in Bozeman, MT; often called "Squinter" but more often went by his middle name, Quincy; he served in the U.S. Navy near the close of World War One; graduated from Oregon Agriculture College ( now Oregon State University) with a degree in agriculture; married 15 Jun 1928 to Alta Marguerite Hansen; ran a dairy farm near Bandon, OR. He had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed people, and had a long-time interest in theatricals and music-played baritone horn in high school and drums for dances after he moved to Bandon, and sang in the church choir; Alta died 27 Jul 1986: Quincy died 4 Aug 1975 in Bandon, OR of emphysema; one child, (1) Virginia Lou.
