3.8.2. HENRY BLISS, born 25 Apr 1901 in Wabash Co, IL; died 18 Jan 1975, married Bernadine Thrapp; was a
member of the Winchester First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. He spent 30 years in the teaching
profession and 12 years as County Superintendent of Schools; Henry's mother Martha lived the last part of
her life with him; Henry died following a brief illness in Winchester, IL; burial in the Highland Memorial
Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, IL; one daughter, (
1) Mary Jane.
3.8.2.1. The Rev. MARY JANE, was a University of Illinois journalism student; after working in commercial
journalism, Mary Jane became an ordained minister in the Christian Church; married Randall Alan West son
of Clyde West, Randall practiced law in partnership with his father for many years; on the death of his
father, he continued the law firm and was joined by his son, Stephen who is also a CPA; The Rev. Mary
Jane West is presently a protestant chaplain for the large Catholic hospital and medical center in
Peoria, IL; children: (
1) Stephen, (
2) David, (
3) Linda. The Rev. Mary Jane and Randall live in East
Peoria Heights, 5138 Prospect Rd, Peoria IL 61614.
