brother John in the family graveyard on the farm (located from the center of the S. 1/2 S.W. 1/4, Sec. 30, T2N, R I2W, Lawrence Co. IL). The stone that marks their resting place read "WILLIAM CORRIE'S STONE... Sacred to the memory of Unknown Corrie, consort of William Corrie, who died September anno domino, 1827, Aged 54 years." In October of 1993, Dallas Krumm (ref. 1.1.5.1.5.1.1.3.3.3.) guided Evelyn Corrie Birkby (ref. 1.1.5.1.8.4.5.2.) back into the farm field to the graves but they could not find the stone marker; William and Margaret's children, (1) John, (2) William Jr., (3) Margaret, (4) James, (5) Adam, (6) Andrew, (7) Joseph, (8) Thomas, (9) Jannet (Jane), (10) Mary, (11) George. MARGARET, Father John's second child, baptized 4 Jan 1768 in Irongray; died 21 May 1848 aged 80 in Senwick House, Borgue; married John Sproat, from 1793 farmer in Borness, Senwick, Borgue, born 20 Dec 1757 in Brighouse, Senwick, son of Thomas Sproat, farmer in Brighouse, and Agnes Carson, died 11 Apr 1820 aged 61 in Borness; they had twelve children (1) Agnes, (2) Margaret, (3) Thomas, (4) John, (5) Mary, (6) Isabella, (7) William, (8) Adam, (9) Elizabeth, (10) Jane, (11) Hugh, (12) Penelope. An item among the grandchildren of Margaret Corrie and John Sproat entered in the family memorial in the old Senwick churchyard is "Jane Henry, who died in Edinburgh 21 Feb 1845 aged 23 years" cannot yet be connected and entered below.
