farm Kirkgunzeon, born 1801, died 26 May 1844 aged 43 in Lawston; both interred in Lochrutton churchyard;
they had five children 1. Isobella, 2. Anne, 3. John, 4. Adam, 5. William.

married 2 Jul 1848 in Lochrutton to James Fraser, servant in Lawston who became a grain merchant; they moved to
7 Galloway Street, Holywell, and had two children (
1) Mary, and (
2) Jane.
1.1. Mary Fraser, baptized 30 Apr 1849 in Lawston; married 11 Jun 1869 in Dumfries to Robert Davidson M'Courty,
ploughman and hay dealer of Maxwelltown, born 1845 son of John M'Courty and Mary Neilson; they had eight
children: James William and others who all died young.
1.1.1. James William M'Courty, in 1938 lived in London.
1.2. Jane Fraser, born 28 Nov 1850, baptized 26 Dec 1850 in Merkland, Lochrutton.
2. ANN(E), born 11 Jan 1831 in Lawston; died 30 Nov 1891 aged 60 in Beeswing, New Abbey; married 15 Jul 1852 in
Lochrutton to Robert Kirk, joiner in Beeswing and Barfill, born 1825 in Lochrutton, died 27 Jul 1902 in
Beeswing aged 77; both were buried in New Abbey; they had six children (
