married 1 Jan 1851 in Camden, Schuyler Co, IL to George Washington Erwin who was born 1 Dec 1818 in Constable, Franklin Co, NY to Cornelius Matthew Erwin and Lucinda Fairman. died 1 Feb 1894 aged 75 (Cornelius second wife was Cyrenitia Cook who was born in Pennsylvania 3 Nov 179? she married secondly John Corrie (ref. 1.1.5.4.5.) when Agnes was 16 years old and earned the distinction of being stepmother of both bride and groom. The Erwins were descendants of a distinguised family who left Scotland during the time the protestants were being persecuted; David Erwin was born in Newark NJ 18 May 1758 and by age 19 he'd enlisted in the Revolutionary war...went with General Washngton when he recrossed the Delaware and took Trenton, he was also in the War of 1812 along with three of his sons, Cornelius, Alexander, and Allen. David Erwin was married at Newark NJ 22 Mar 1780, to Catherine Munson born 11 Dec 1761, in Chateague NY, and died Chicago IL Sept 1852; they had 10 children, the fifth of which was Cornelius Matthew, born 25 Jul 1788, in Fair Haven, Rutland Co, VT where his father established the first nail factory in the colony; Cornelius married 15 May 1808 in Chateauque (pronounced Shadagee) in Franklin Co, NY to Lucinda Fairman; George Washington Erwin was the fifth child of their seven children. After the death of Lucinda, Cornelius married Cyrenitia Cook born in PA 3 Nov 179?, Cornelius died at Toledo OH 1838 or 40, after which the stepmother and two of the children, Lewis and George Washington Erwin emigrated to Rushville, IL). Agnes Elizabeth and George lived out their lives in Littleton , Ottawa Co, IL; children, all born in Littleton Twp, Schuyler Co, IL, (1) Edgar, (2) Cyrenitia, (3) Ellen Agnes, (4) John, (5) Cornelius Matthew, (6) Frank Corrie, (7) William Schrader, (8) Mary L., (9) Walter Allen. 5.3.1. Edgar Erwin, born 27 Oct 1851; drowned near Rushville 11 Dec 1873 aged 22; not married. 5.3.2. Cyrenitia Erwin, born 19 Oct 1853; died 22 Dec 1865 aged 12. 5.3.3. Ellen Agnes Erwin, born 27 Aug 1855; married 5 Mar 1879 to Richard A. Bosworth, moved to Wichita, KS; he died 1907; Ellen died 27 Oct 1932 aged 77; children, (1) Roy, (2) Maude, (3) George E., (4) Harry, (5) Pearl. 5.3.3.1. Roy Bosworth, born 9 Dec 1879; resided in Tacoma, WA; married first Ethel Rist of Bowen, IL who died 23 Feb 1902 upon the birth of their first child, (1) Marguerite Frances; Roy took his child at 6 weeks of age to Wichita Kansas to his mother; married secondly in Topeka, KS; married thirdly 16 Aug 1910 to Mary Jane McCobbrey, (Mary Jane had a daughter, Gwendolyn, by a former marriage); children of Roy and Mary Jane, (2) Beaulah Beatrice, (3) Roy George, (4) Elvera Belle, (5) Lloyd Albert, (6) Mildred Loraine, (7) Elmer Laurence, (8) John, (9) Phyllis Jane. 5.3.3.1.1.
