1951 when Bob had his first furlough from the Army which had drafted him a few months earlier. He was
then sent to Germany where he served as a private first class until his discharge in 1953; he then
joined Beverly in Endicott, NY where she had moved to take a teaching job. Bob soon secured a job
with IBM Corporation where he was a Quality Assurance Specialist until his retirement in 1984; both
Dunhams were Methodists; Robert died of stomach cancer 11 Aug 1989 and is buried in Riverview
Cemetery Endicott, Broome Co, NY; children, (
