[[I'm interested in any ideas or suggestions from my friends.]] Anything that can't be easily picked up or easily moved with a dolly, should be mounted on wheels. There should be no combustibles in the lab proper, no wood/paper etc. Realistically this is impossible but definitely minimize the danger. Gas Cart Project: Done Wheeled Organ Project: Done Parts Cleaner Project: Base done, still need pump solution and plumbing, ultrasonics possible? perhaps compressed gasses in containers to force out fluid. Coat hook projects: Boys and I are done. Dutch Oven Pot lid lifters: Prototypes built, boys need to weld up their own. Dutch Oven hanger stand things and pot hangers: suggestion for other things to build. Vacuum Table Project: Base built, some welding left, still thinking about mounting bits. Homemade Lathe Project: Still early in design phase, trying to figure out how to make gears accurately enough or use existing gears from transmissions or other? High Voltage Diode: Trays and blast shields done, still need to cut several hundred bottles and form cathodes and anodes. Extensive use of recycled materials is encouraged, looking for old cast iron to form into gears old steel etc. Old rebar bits to form into gears and control wheels etc. Need to find a cheap source of firebrick, either prefired/premix, hmmm ground up broken china? Need to find a use for all the glass bits I'm collecting, it'd be nice if I knew how to remove coloring and get back to clear glass oh say from ... green.. Wonder what adding borax would do? Thanks TimF for the suggestions.
